Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

Start by placing the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot. Ensure they are spread out evenly for even cooking.

 

Step 2: Make the Sauce

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper until well combined.

 

Step 3: Pour the Sauce

Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken in the crock pot, ensuring all pieces are well coated.

 

Step 4: Cook

Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

 

Step 5: Thicken the Sauce (Optional)

If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water in a small bowl. About 30 minutes before serving, stir this mixture into the sauce in the crock pot and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes until thickened.

 

Step 6: Serve

Once cooked, shred the chicken in the sauce using two forks or serve the whole pieces. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.
