Crockpot Brown Sugar Balsamic Glazed Pork Tenderloin: A Sweet and Savory Delight

  • Author: linda kitchen
  • Total Time: 18 minute

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs pork tenderloin: The main protein.

1/2 cup brown sugar: For sweetness.

1/2 cup balsamic vinegar: For tangy depth.

1/4 cup soy sauce: For umami flavor.

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard: For a hint of spice.

4 cloves garlic (minced): For aromatic flavor.

1 teaspoon salt: To enhance flavor.

1/2 teaspoon black pepper: For seasoning.

1 tablespoon olive oil: For searing (optional).

Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish): For freshness.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pork

Start by trimming any excess fat from the pork tenderloin and patting it dry with paper towels.

Season the pork generously with salt and black pepper.

Step 2: Sear the Pork (Optional)

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.

Sear the pork tenderloin on all sides for about 2-3 minutes until browned. This step adds extra flavor but can be skipped if you’re short on time.

Step 3: Make the Glaze

In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, and 4 cloves of minced garlic. Whisk together until well combined.

Step 4: Cook in the Crockpot

Place the seared (or unseared) pork tenderloin in the Crockpot.

Pour the balsamic glaze over the pork, ensuring it is well coated.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the pork is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.

Step 5: Serve

Once cooked, remove the pork from the Crockpot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Drizzle some of the remaining glaze from the Crockpot over the sliced pork and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
