Ingredients
- 1 pound sirloin steak (or your choice of steak), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh thyme, if available)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup green beans (trimmed)
- Chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Steak
1.Season the Steak: In a bowl, season the steak bites with salt, pepper, and dried thyme. Toss to coat evenly.
Step 2: Cook the Steak
1.Heat Olive Oil: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the seasoned steak bites in a single layer.
2.Sear the Steak: Cook for about 2-3 minutes without moving them to get a nice sear. Then, flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Sauté the Vegetables
1.Add Butter and Garlic: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
2.Add Vegetables: Add the cherry tomatoes and green beans to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Step 4: Combine and Serve
1.Return Steak to Skillet: Add the steak bites back into the skillet and toss everything together to combine and heat through for about 1-2 minutes.
2.Garnish and Enjoy: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve warm.
